The biography for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock on the official Marvel website has connected the events of the Netflix series, Daredevil, with the character’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, making the show part of the official MCU canon. Prior to the current run of Disney+ shows that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel had made a prior attempt to break into streaming television in a partnership with Netflix. This deal saw Marvel produce several series to be distributed onto the Netflix streaming platform that were decidedly more mature in tone and content than what audiences were accustomed to seeing on the big screen. Marvel's Daredevil, or simply Daredevil, is an American web television series based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. It is the third television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series was produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, and originally released on Netflix.
The first season was released on April 10, 2015. The second season was released on March 18, 2016. The third and final season was released on October 19, 2018.
On February 11, 2022, it was reported that the series would be leaving Netflix on March 1.[1] It was later announced that the series would be moved to Disney+ on March 16.[2]
A sequel series titled Daredevil: Born Again, produced by Marvel Studios under the revived Marvel Television label, is set to be released on March 4, 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again is an upcoming American television series created by Dario Scardapane and Matt Corman & Chris Ord for the streaming service Disney+, based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Daredevil. It is intended to be the 13th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, via its Marvel Television label, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Born Again is a revival and continuation of Daredevil (2015–2018), an earlier series produced by the previous Marvel Television production company and originally released on Netflix. Scardapane serves as showrunner with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as lead directors.
