To wander around SOMA is to be a guest in what appears to be an architectural laboratory for Saitowitz, a sort of proving ground for ideas around urban living.

To think of Saitowitz as a purely local or residential architect would be short sighted. He received his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Witwatersrand in 1974. He received a Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1977.
