William L. Rushing

MADISON –Memorial services for William Larry Rushing will be held Friday at 5 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Rushing, 67, of Madison, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. A native of Collinsville, he was born April 19, 1943, and was the son of the late William A. and Margaret Miller Rushing. He graduated from Collinsville High School where he was the class Valedictorian and Class President. He joined the Mississippi National Guard and served active duty during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. He also served in the Colorado National Guard. Mr. Rushing was a Zone Manager for the NCR Corporation and retired after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed flying and was a Col. in the Confederate Air Force in Madison. He also enjoyed gun collecting, motorcycling, boating and many other hobbies. He was a member of Suqualena Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pat Lindsey Rushing of Madison; brother, Ron Rushing and his wife, Jo, of Robertsdale, Ala.; niece, Mandy Rushing Harris and her husband, John, of
