    Gary Jules

Gary Jules is an acclaimed singer-songwriter best known for his hauntingly beautiful rendition of "Mad World," which has amassed over 228 million streams on Spotify, was featured prominently in both the film Donnie Darko & Epic Games' Gears of War, and made Jules only the 6th American act ever to win the coveted UK Christmas #1 single in 2003.

His music has continued to be heard in films and on television, notably “Falling Awake,” which was featured in an especially gripping, fan-favorite episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Artists including Adam Lambert (American Idol, Queen) and 3x Grammy-Winning group Pentatonix have also performed covers of his work

Born in Fresno, California and raised in the surf culture of San Diego, Jules began his journey as a singer-songwriter in the late 90s.

Throughout his career, Jules has graced stages worldwide including Glastonbury, T in the Park, London’s Astoria, SXSW, The Green Man Festival, Latitude Festival, The Troubadour and El Rey theaters in Los Angeles, New York’s Bowery Ballroom, as well as features on Top of the

    Singer, songwriter

Born out of the same fertile soil that produced singer/songwriter Aimee Mann, Gary Jules combined sharp writing with a steadfast resolve to rise to the top as a singer/songwriter. Writing about Jules's album Greetings from the Side, Stanton Swihart of All Music Guide noted, "With just a single album, Gary Jules emerged as one of the most gifted songwriting talents to surface during the decade." Critical approval, however, failed to buoy the artist's initial success when his record label neglected to promote his first album and eventually dropped the singer. Overcoming his disillusionment, Jules created his own venue in Los Angeles and finally recorded his second album without the support of a label. Although his determination soon brought him new success, he remained committed —in good times and bad—to his craft as a songwriter. "I don't worry about how something will do in the charts," he told Jeff Partain on the VirginMegaMagazine website. "I just like to complete a song to my satisfaction."
