Clovis "Mutualism" defined
Mutualism happens when the subjects share mutual outlines or borders with each other. In Mutualism, there is no negative space in between. Subjects fit together like puzzle pieces.
"Multifunctionalism" defined
Multifunctionalism is when nothing is really there, just pieces of things that are arranged in a way that makes you think you are seeing something that isn't really there. A single item can be so abstract in form that it can play 3 or 4 roles at the same time. A hole in a guitar can be a music note, and the bell of a trumpet, all at the same time.
"Structural Patternism" defined
Structural patternism happens when a structural abstract is so intricate and so tightly compacted that it ceases to be "too busy" and takes on the effect of a pattern, allowing it to be pleasing to the eye, but complex enough for never ending exploration.

Artist Bio - Clovis is a native of Orange County California. Since creating his first painting in 2004, his art has been purchased by Cities, Galleries, 5 Star Resorts, Designers and numerous Collectors from coast to coast and around the world. In 2016 Clovis left his career in Management to become a full time Artist. Artist Statement - This art was created to be inspirational, emotional & thought evoking. In June of 2004 I literally woke at 3:00 am with an idea of a painting style. I had not painted yet, but already knew what my art would look like. I purchased paints and brushes the next day. Within 6 weeks, I sold my first painting on the internet. Ever since then I have been exploring multiple directions and the list of ideas keeps growing. In much of my work I like to use long uninterrupted brush strokes. I also like to evoke thought and conversation through morphing, visual metaphors, “Multifunctionalism” (my term), hidden images and optical illusions. Jerry Haymes (born August 30, 1940) is an American rock musician. He has contributed to the genre of rock and roll for over 50 years. Over the years he has performed on many chart hits.[citation needed] Haymes is also a member of the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame and Texas Music Hall of Fame [citation needed].
Early life
Haymes was born on August 30, 1940 in Vernon, Texas. He was raised in Clovis, New Mexico, and while attending Clovis High began recording at Norman Petty Studios. After graduating, Haymes attended Abilene Christian University, Southern Methodist University, and Kilgore College. He also spent time studying at the London Conservatory of Music.
