Marlon Lamont Wayans[1] (born July 23, 1972) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work with his brother Shawn Wayans on The WB sitcom The Wayans Bros. (1995–1999) and the comedy films Don't Be a Menace (1996), Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 2 (2001), White Chicks (2004), Little Man (2006), and Dance Flick (2009).
Wayans' other film credits include Above the Rim (1994), The 6th Man (1997), Norbit (2007), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), The Heat (2013), A Haunted House (2013) and its sequel A Haunted House 2 (2014), Naked (2017), Fifty Shades of Black (2016), Sextuplets (2019), and On the Rocks (2020). Marlon Wayans Says Soulja Boy Hasn't 'Been Relevant Since 2007' After Rapper Calls His Trans Son a Homophobic Slur
Marlon Wayans is not standing for anything but support when it comes to his family.
The actor, who is father to 24-year-old son Kai, who he shared was transgender in 2023, snapped back at Soulja Boy in a post on X on Wednesday, Feb. 12 after the rapper called Kai a homophobic slur in a since-deleted tweet.
Wayans's tweet included a screenshot of an older tweet from the rapper, 34, who had shared two headlines related to Wayans accepting and supporting his son following his transition, asking if it was something that "run[s] in the family."
In response, Wayans wrote, "If @souljaboy had a career he could get cancelled for this type of slander. Luckily he ain’t been relevant since 2007."
